Uploading your photograph or image
Please read this section carefully to avoid any unnecessary delays. We want your files to look as you intended them to.
Using pictures in the correct proportion (landscape or portrait) for the item you have selected will avoid the edges being cut off when they are enlarged to fit the image area.
Photographs/images
Save your scanned photographs or digital pictures as either PNG(24bit) or TIFF files as this will preserve the colour and clarity of your images.
GIF or JPEG formats compress the image and actually discard information, causing possible colour shifts and blurriness. When you are scanning, consider the final size your image will be used at. Always scan photographs at 300 dpi at the size you are going to use them. There's no point scanning a postage stamp at 300 dpi and then blowing it up to an A4 size - use your scanning software to help you calculate the output resolution. Conversely, scanning photographs at more than 300dpi will have little or no effect on the actual printed quality and will unnecessarily increase file size and processing time.
Scan black and white line art (i.e. your logo), at 1200 dpi for best results. Any lower, and the logo may look blurry. You shouldn't compress your image either, or it will cause problems.
We can accept the following filetypes for your logo or photo: PNG, TIFF, GIF or JPEG.
